Where Nano meets Nature

Designing the building blocks for tomorrow's electronics

Anyone born after 1985 will have a hard time imagining a world without cell -phones, laptops and iPads. We would have none of these modern comforts if it weren’t for electronics. Building blocks of electronics keep getting smaller and smaller. Who knows what wonderful inventions still lie ahead? In Enschede, Nano Electronics professor Wilfred van der Wiel searches for new concepts and materials to build the electronics of the future.
