European law confronts private law

Fifty years ago with the founding of the European Union a whole new field of law also emerged. Today, European law has penetrated national law on many levels and it  even has the power to supersede national law. Jurist Carla Sieburgh from Radboud University Nijmegen is a pioneer when it comes to examining the interaction between private law and European law.
