Bacteria, viruses and fungus: we carry them with us but they can make us deadly ill. Our immune system contains an armoury of weapons to fight these intruders. But what actually activates these biological weapons in our blood? At Radboud University Nijmegen Mihai Netea researches how our immune system fights fungal infections.
